Decorated sugar cookies (Swedish themed)

What does our name mean?

In Sweden, a polite way to show your gratitude is to say “tusen tack’
(pronounced too-sen tahk), which literally translates to “a thousand (tusen) thanks (tack).” What better way to thank guests for attending your event than to send them home with “a thousand thanks’!

Why favors?

During her 17 years experience in the industry, Chef Caroline found that favors were often overlooked add-ons from bakeries. However, a favor helps your guest remember your event as they leave. At Tusen Tack Sweet Favors, we want to raise favors to the importance they deserve by making quality, customized treats that will wow guests and leave a lasting impression of your event.

Who are we?

Caroline Magnuson

Owner, Head Chef

Caroline began baking when she was young. While watching Julia Child and Jacques Pepin, she baked Swedish limpa bread and cardamon coffee cake with her grandpa and papparkakor and spritz cookies with her mom. After high school, she attended Johnson & Wales University where she earned her degree with honors in Baking and Pastry Arts. She began her career as the chocolatier and petit four chef at the prestigious Tru Restaurant in Chicago. Later, she expanded her expertise as chocolatier and baker at Sarah’s Pastries and Candies. Over the years, she has discovered her love of crafting small treats, chocolates, and candies. She has refined her skills and truly found her niche: sweet favors! Tapping into her Swedish heritage, she decided to share her passion and open Tusen Tack Sweet Favors.
